One of the (truly less important) opportunities I wished for my kids, was to have been able to watch mindless, fictional television shows. The kind of shows, which never pretended to be anything other than entertainment and escapism.  I grew up on a steady viewing diet of Gilligan's Island, Charlie's Angels, The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family and, when I was old enough to handle the drama Dynasty!  Those days are long gone and in their stead are 'reality' shows, where the drama and 'reality' are decided upon and manipulated in reality - then filmed and fed to us between commercial breaks.




We have now added 'alternative facts' to our reality.  It is getting more difficult to research and find the line between truth and misinformation.

Now more than ever nonprofits have to be clear and concise in their messaging.  We need to put our best facts forward.  What is the need?  How do we meet that need?  How much of the need have we met so far?  How much does it cost to meet the need for one person, one classroom, one animal, one historic building? If your donor entrusts $100 to your nonprofit what will you do with it?  How much of that $100 will go to solving the problem the donor is investing in?  Will you let the donor know about the progress she/he has made?  Or will they have to ask?


Now that you have all the answers to the questions, where are you going to put them?


Your website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Google +, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr...Is there a way to integrate all platforms and make sure news and answers are published across them all?
