Marketing & Branding

What's in a logo?

Or a Post?

Or Tweet?

Or a Link?

Is anyone reading my press releases?

Is anyone reading this website content?

Okay, let me get this straight.  I have to fulfill my organization's mission, manage staff, volunteers, clients and families, the board, donors - and you want me to find time to market my organization?

In a nutshell - YES!

Since 2000 the number of nonprofits in the United States alone has more than doubled!  That means there are many more charities out there looking for the same resources as you.  Fortunately the do not all operate in the same location, program areas or have the reputation your organization does.

But do funders know this?  They should - and one of the best ways to get the good word about about the good work you do is a well thought out, marketing plan.

Your organization should have items at your disposable that make it unique and recognizable to consumers and donors.

If you are not brand new - you most likely have a logo and mission statement.  Hopefully you have some information in a branding guide like this - Act Resource Development Branding Guide.  Have all this information in one place makes it easy for you to ensure your marketing efforts are consistent.

From there you can build consistent language and a marketing plan.
